I guess this is why I am also not welcome on campsites anywhere in this world - because I prefer to spend my time outside of tents, not inside them. Also, being a pensioner who needs to piss quite often, this does not help my situation either.

What we should learn about the world we live in:

One of the best ways to educate society is through popular / cult movies. You can enthrall, entertain and capture the minds of those who are willing to go further than the movie screen and contemplate what they have seen and experienced. Each of the productions I list all have messages that require much deeper thought than just simply entertaining the greater masses. My own caveat is that I too have to admit that as a much younger person I should have paid more attention to what I had seen and listened to. All I can add is that if I were an educator, if I had control of what was taught in school, I would use the following movies to provoke much deeper thought. What follows are just some of those (but not all) I have considered that should be part of a new 'national curriculum'.

NB. I am listing these mostly in chronological order. Not for any special reason, but to simply keep the order simple for any future reference:

The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951 & 2008); Fahrenheit 451 (1953); Forbidden Planet (1956); The Time Machine (1956); THX 1138 (1971); Network (1976); Logan's Run (1976); Blade Runner (1982); Excalibur (1981); Falling Down (1993); 12 Monkeys (1995); The Truman Show (1998); The Matrix (1999, plus sequels); Jumper (2008). There are also the 'Terminator' movies recorded over numerous years. Finally, but not a movie, a TV adaption of the first of the first two novels by Mervin Peake, and entitled 'Gormenghast' (the novels were actually written in 1946 and 1950, but did not appear on television until the year 2000).

My 'rotavation'

I created this extra 'Banksy-style' website to supplement gawful.com.

Well ... I thought ... the person is so popular, so why not try and also be equally so ... even though I may fail in spectacular fashion. After all, winning is not for everyone, is it (he said begrudgingly between gritted teeth)?

Anyway, I also thought (two in one day ... wow!) that some of my offerings needed a separate environment to emphasise the more 'in-your-face' and politically-orientated comment. Rotovate and accumulate.

Like it or not, I do not care if this website is going to be to your taste. I do expect though that corrupt elements in the world of politics will hate it. So that's going to be a lot of hate, is it not?

Fortunately, I am ably assisted by a lack of interest in negative opinions of my website, and to be perfectly frank, I really don't give a damn what others think. If you like what I offer, great. Otherwise, go stick your head in a bucket of manure (from the animal of your chosing - never say I am undemocratic) and keep it there.

Finally, I read today (16th December, 2023) that fat and obese people are now referred to as "people of size". That's OK with me, I can live with a kinder terminology. But the same rules apply to me as well. I consider myself as an "emboldened person of light and truth". And whatever privileges they enjoy as a consequence of their newfound status, I also deserve the same (so says me).
